We are seeking a passionate and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team.
This role is an amazing opportunity for an individual who is looking to utilize their skills and expertise in the construction industry, specifically in concrete and civil construction.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3
years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on concrete finishing and civil construction.
This position will offer the chance to work on a variety of construction projects, providing the opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities:
1.
Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities, and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2.
Coordinate and supervise the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and staff.
3.
Ensure all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
4.
Conduct quality control checks, inspecting completed work to ensure it meets the required level of quality, safety, and structural integrity.
5.
Develop and implement project work plans and make revisions as necessary.
6.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
7.
Manage the procurement of tools and materials needed for projects.
8.
Resolve any work problems or emergencies that might occur, ensuring minimal disruption to work schedules.
9.
Prepare and submit project reports, keeping all stakeholders informed of the project's progress and issues.
10.
Foster a safety-first culture, promoting and enforcing strict safety guidelines and company standards at all times.
Qualifications:
1.
A minimum of 3
years of experience as a Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
2.
Proven experience in concrete and civil construction is a must.
3.
Proficient in concrete finishing with a keen eye for detail.
4.
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent is preferred.
5.
Excellent understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
6.
Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
7.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team of professionals.
8.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
9.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
10.
Ability to read and understand construction blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
11.
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for making effective decisions under pressure.
12.
Must have a valid driver's license.
