We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our dynamic and energetic team as a Technical Support & Customer Training Specialist in our rapidly growing North American operation in Taylor, Michigan.
This position reports to the Director of Technical Operations and requires initiative, teamwork and good communicating and reporting skills. The position is primarily driven by customer issues and calls, but will require coordination with sales, manufacturing, R&D, and accounting. It is an office-based position with frequent travelling to customers mainly in North America.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Successfully resolve software, electrical, and mechanical issues related to de Jong DUKE Equipment.
Educate and train customers on the hardware & software of the coffee equipment.
Should be willing to work on the production floor to learn the manufacturing process and troubleshooting techniques.
MUST be willing and able to learn proprietary software used to program machines.
Test and process returns, issue credits, and maintain returns/troubleshooting database properly and in a timely fashion.
Proactively assist customers to avoid or reduce problem occurrence.
Respond to service, product, technical, and customer relations questions on subjects such as features, specifications, and repairs on current and discontinued products and parts.
Provide excellent service and be willing to learn all aspects of the equipment operation.
Have a friendly, team player personality and is equally comfortable interacting with staff and end users at all levels.
Learn all aspects of the equipment operation, from coffee brewing theory to electrical operation & software
Must be willing and able to travel to customer's premises on a regular basis.
Knowledge and Skills:?
Associates degree or higher with a science or engineering major
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Spanish of French would be nice)
Minimum 5- 10 years of experience in a similar position.
Must have a technical and commercial attitude.
Trainer experience
Must be able to multi-task
Experience in (small) manufacturing environment preferred
Self-motivated with good analytical & troubleshooting skills
Professional, reliable and able to handle stressful situations
Proficiency in Microsoft applications Excel, Word, Outlook, and Visio
Experience with Inventory Management / ERP Systems desired.
Competences: communication / quality oriented / adaptability / initiative / commercial awareness / work standards
