RF and Serializer/Deserializer Applications Engineering
Job Description
Maxim's Automotive Business Unit is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support our growing opportunities for RF and Serial-Link products, including Software-Defined Radios, camera-links, and display-links. The candidate will work closely with design engineers, product definers, business managers, partners, and customers to produce successful designs. The candidate will be the key contact between Detroit-area customers and the Maxim team.
Potential candidates should have automotive semiconductor industry experience and be self-motivated to work with a distributed team of experts. Experience with Automotive EMI/EMC requirements, AEC-Q100 requirements, and broadcast radio standards is required. Customer visits to resolve technical issues or support new projects is a key activity, requiring both technical and inter-personal skills.
Meet with customers and partner to support strategic projects
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues, working closely with the ABU team
Occasional travel to Maxim design centers to work with ABU team to develop custom solutions
Creation of user guides
System integration, testing, and optimization of radio blocks including lab and road testing
Documentation of customer requirements for new Software-Defined Radio (SDR) solutions
Generating accurate project schedules for customer deliverables
Board layout and schematic capture
GUI verification and documentation
Integration of SDR solutions with Serializer/Deserializer chipsets
Communication with ARM core vendors implementing SDR solutions

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
