Loan Processor

A Loan Processor position is currently available with our client located in the Brighton, MI area.
The Loan Processor is responsible for providing quality customer service by obtaining necessary documentation for underwriting the loan file, ordering third party documentation, communicating directly with the customer and/or loan officer in a professional and effective manner.

Essential Responsibilities:
-Verifies the application is complete and accuracy of system input and verifies documentation
submitted and identifies any potential issues that may arise in underwriting.
-Performs a thorough review and analysis of the borrower s credit, employment, income and assets as required by the loan program. (Responsible for handing over a completely documented file to the underwriter for approval or denial.)
-Directly communicates with customer, Loan Officer, underwriter and third party companies to obtain any documentation required for loan qualification.
-Review loan approvals and address all conditions required for underwriting and closing.
-Manage pipeline by reports within allotted turn-around times.

-High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
-Minimum of 2 years residential mortgage processing experience.
-Knowledge of RESPA guidelines; general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations.
-Previous experience with Mortgage Builder preferred.
-Available to work overtime if needed.
-Ability to pass any pre-employment screenings.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
